This is a non-supervisory, technical position requiring project management and people skills. Specifically: 50% Desktop Intelligence to Web Intelligence report migration: - Collect requirements, create a detailed migration plan, and establish timelines for migrating business objects XIR3 reports to Web Intelligence reports. - Excellent attention to detail and data validation skills. - Identify and implement resolution to save to HTML feature gap. - Identify and implement resolution to free hand SQL feature gap. 20% Mentor and Train staff on Web Intelligence: - Collect requirements, develop plan, and establish timelines to train the team in using Web Intelligence. - Provide Universe design mentoring to the team on specific report/analysis requests. - Schedule time with team members to mentor them in using Business Objects tools. 15% Make recommendations to improve team process and tool implementation: - Review, make recommendation for, and update current universes to meet end user needs. - Follow best practices for Web Intelligence report creation. - Consistently look for opportunities to automate activities and gain efficiencies within the team’s processes and reporting. 15% Communication and Professionalism: - Determine goals and priorities with team, clients, or project management sponsors (when appropriate). - Communicate in a professional manner in person and in email. - Deliver regular status updates and test summaries to project team and management. - Follow-up on outstanding issues with project team and management. - Identify, evaluate and recommend improvements to process and tools. - Produce and maintain detailed technical documentation for all assigned tasks and projects. * * *KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS* - BA, BS or AA or Equivalent industry work experience - Minimum of five years experience working with Business Objects reporting tools. - Strong technical background with BO XIR3 Desktop Intelligence, Web Intelligence and Universe Design.
