*Position: Sharepoint Architect/Administrator*

*Location: Stamford, CT*

*Duration: Long Term Contract*



The individual will join a team acting as the SharePoint Centre of
Excellence, providing architectural leadership; application configuration,
custom application development services; 2nd and 3rd level support;
training, best practice, governance, controls and advice to other projects
and teams developing for deployment to this SharePoint platform.





*SKILLS: *

   - Experience in providing end user customer service and support to a wide
   range of users
   - Excellent written & verbal communication skills
   - Good understanding of corporate online collaboration and knowledge
   management best practice
   - Microsoft Office SharePoint Server (MOSS) 2007 level 3 support
   - Functional expertise in SharePoint 2007 out-of-the-box capabilities
   - Prior experience in performing site migrations and other administration
   in SharePoint 2007
   - Project management experience
   - SQL Server 2005 / 2008 experience
   - Understanding of SharePoint Master pages and CSS
   - Experience of third-party management or migration toolsets
   - Knowledge of ITIL





*RESPONSIBILITIES:*

   - Investigate and resolve problems including liaising with other systems
   if needed
   - Carry out regular operational checks for all key systems to ensure that
   scheduled processes complete successfully and in a timely manner. Perform
   recovery actions as necessary.
   - Manage system incidents providing timely escalation/recovery actions
   and management communication.
   - Document all incidents and produce/contribute to the production of
   regular management reporting.
   - Provide out of hours support as well as take part in Disaster Recovery
   tests weekends
   - Create initiative solutions to complex problems.
   - Document all solutions and share information across the Tech Support
   team.
   - Ensure all service level agreements are met for user requests
   - Ensure checks are undertaken on systems to confirm business
   availability
   - Resolve issues raised as alerts and follow the correct resolution
   procedures, escalating as required
   - Investigate any outages/issues with the production system to identify
   the underlying issue
   - Provide a proactive approach to supporting the production environment
   - Involvement in automation activities of regular tasks aiming at process
   improvements
   - Work with the site owners to identify appropriate structures for new
   site collections
   - Where required, plan and execute site restructure and other changes.
   - Execute content/site migrations, including dry runs to test environment
   where needed, and live migrations
   - Deal with other issues and work on other projects on the SharePoint
   platform as require
