*You will be supporting the Rural Housing Program Initiatives - This person
will work closely with internal clients, business analysts, and application
developers to design the Rural Housing point of sale strategic system. As an
Application Developer, you will provide high quality technology solutions
that address business needs by developing applications within mature
technology environments. You will utilize your programming skills to adhere
to coding standards, procedures and techniques while contributing to the
technical code base including any required documentation.

Responsibilities:
-Participate in project planning sessions with project managers, business
analysts and team members to analyze business requirements and outline the
proposed IT solution.
-Participate in design reviews and provide input to the design
recommendations; incorporate security requirements into design; and provide
input to information/data flow, and understand and comply with Project Life
Cycle Methodology in all planning steps.
-Adhering to IT Control Policies throughout design, development and testing
and incorporate Corporate Architectural Standards into application design
specifications.
-Document the detailed application specifications
-Translate technical requirements into programmed application modules and
develop/enhance software application modules.
-Facilitate code reviews and ensure that all solutions are aligned to
pre-defined architecture
-Identify/troubleshoot application code-related issues, review and provide
feedback to any required final user documentation.
-Manage end to end delivery of application code
-Manage Build and Unit testing

Qualifications:
To be considered for this role your background should include a minimum of 7
years of IT experience.
- B.S. - degree in Computer Science or related field
-Minimum 5 years of Application Development work experience
-Core skills: Java, J2EE, EJB, XML, Web Services, Javascript, SQL
-Required skills include Familiarity with Infragistics, .Net, Java, Spring
MVC frameworks
-Excellent technical and analytical skills
-Excellent communication skills
-Proven track record of delivering results
-Broad range of experiences and understanding with web/internet technologies
-Pragmatic approach to developing and maintaining Application Frameworks
-Familiar with automation tools Autosys/ Control-M
-Proficiency in PL/SQL, including triggers, stored procedures, queries, etc.
is required
-Solid design, coding, testing and debugging skills
-Knowledge of version and revision control practices and procedures (SVN)
-Experience with the Financial Services industry experience is helpful
-Ability to work effectively as a member of a team
-Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast paced environment and handle
multiple issues at one time
-Highly self-motivated
-Experience with Tomcat, Weblogic, Websphere
-Web portal application development
-Experience with Subversion, Jira a plus *
