*Overview:*
The genesis project is the migration and transformation of over 30 SAP
applications, running a mix of versions (R3 to ECC6), to one enterprise wide
uniform SAP platform. This will include many HW and SW system changes, HW
sizing and application re-engineering, design test and production
environments.
The position holder is responsible for providing team leadership as well as
work as part of a team while leading the analysis, design, development and
implementation of SAP operations and administration strategies and standards
for a global organization. The position would also include working as part
of the basis team in defining standards for the entire organization, while
performing proactive day-to-day operational activities for both business and
development groups.
Duties:
Ø Perform operational support and administration of multiple SAP
landscapes.
Ø Monitor and manage a mission critical SAP system, which is part of a
global manufacturing environment on a 24x7x365 basis.
Ø Defining the principles that guide technology decisions and are used as
input into the overall SAP strategy by for the enterprise.
Ø Consult on SAP development projects in order to fit business requirements
to the SAP architecture.
Ø Proactively analysis of the current SAP environment to detect
deficiencies and recommend solutions for improvement.
Ø Project management related to SAP Basis initiatives.
Ø Assist with the design and implementation of governance to ensure SAP
policy & process compliance.
Ø Performance analysis and recommendations for the SAP systems.
Ø Daily, weekly and monthly operational patching of all systems
Ø Effective and timely communication with the SAP team, users and
management
Ø Dedication to meeting or exceeding customer needs by delivering a highly
reliable and operational sound SAP environment.
Ø Commitment to building a solid and trusting relationship with key
customers of the SAP Basis Team.
Ø Demonstrates resourcefulness and cost efficiencies by centralization,
standardizing & optimization where practical.
Ø Continuously strive to innovate with in the SAP environment by
challenging the norm and looking for improvement opportunities.
Ø Proper, effective and timely communications to the users, management and
the SAP team

Ø *SAP ECC, BW and SAP Enterprise Portal in a basis capacity*
Ø *SAP systems exceeding 1 TB in size*
Ø *SAP security design*
Ø *SAP incident/problem management and root cause analysis *
Ø *SAP performance optimization and tuning*
Ø *Utilization and configuration of SAP Solution Manager*
Ø *Excellent technical problem solving skills*
Ø *Good oral and written communication skills, with an ability to manage
conflict*
Ø *Ability to convey technical information, both verbally and written*
Ø *Effective Team player *
Ø Additional value-added skills and knowledge
