VERY URGENT REK Role:Datamodeler City: Mahwah State:NJ Explanation for Position: Expert Data Modeler is accountable for defining the enterprise data architecture vision, strategy, principles and standards; get buy-in from project stake-holders, management, business partners for the architected data design solutions that meet business requirements in support of a given project or initiative. Provide framework, stewardship, governance and decision making for management of data for project development teams, business users and other stake-holders. The Data Modeler will be accountable for partnering with the Data Architects to create data usage solutions (Enterprise Data Objects and Patterns) that are aligned to UPSâ€Ts architecture standards and principles; leverage common solutions, services, processes. The Data Modeler will collaborate with business units and applications to successfully create, implement and maintain application data models (relational or dimensional )and interface data models (canonical models). Details of Position: The Data Modeler performs complex data analysis, data modeling (Enterprise and Project Level) and design work associated with development and implementation and/or maintenance of metadata, data values, conceptual, logical and physical data models and data analysis tools. Identifies information and content flow issues. Identifies and facilitates resolution of data issues across multiple computing environments. Participates in the development of corporate data architecture and data standards. Management Skills: Strong understanding of Systems Development Lifecycle, Project Management, knowledge of IS functions, strong relational, canonical and dimensional modeling. Extremely organized. Strong coordination, oral and written communication skills.
