Role : Build Release Engineer
Location : Parsippany. NJ
Duration : 12 Months
Rate : $50/hr c2c

Qualifications
BS degree, with a Computer Science or a MIS major or comparable
At least 5 years of experience with Build and Deployment automation
Experience with UNIX, Perl and Windows shell scripting and using Unix tools 
such as sed, grep Regular expression constructs
Knowledge of scripting within environments such as NT CMD Shell, Korn Shell, 
MKS, etc.
Knowledge of build technologies: MSBuild, Make / NMAKE / Imake / Ant / NAnt
Exposure to TCP/IP fundamentals and Public/Private key authentication 
supporting SSH, SFTP, and SCP
Experience with documentation and clear commenting of any complex scripting 
methods
Experience with at least one SCCM toolset such as Accurev, Clearcase, CVS, 
SCCS, Subversion or similar. Source control and version management 
administration.
Knowledge of SDLC and release cycles
Experience with Windows - Windows Server 2008 and 2003 (Windows XP, Windows NT, 
Windows Terminal Server, WinFrame, MetaFrame, and UNIX experience is desirable)
Knowledge of database concepts is a plus
Other desired experience includes Apache server, CGI Web scripting, Windows 
Scripting Host (WSH),Microsoft SharePoint data manipulation

Release process
Schedule builds, source code checkins/checkouts:
The Release Engineer needs to work with the Engineering Development, Production 
Support technicians to schedule source code checkins and branches and merges to 
codebases
Ensure proper environment configuration is applied:
Understand, apply and verify proper configuration for various environment
Other responsibilities include:
Assist the Lead Release Engineer in laying down configuration management 
policies and procedures
Work with the Technical services team for setting up access permissions for the 
automated scripts to function properly
Seek approvals from the Release Manager and QA lead prior to promoting code 
ensuring adherence to the release calendar and the environment plan
Train and or Assist the teams in following requirements, defects to code-check 
in tracability
