Duration: - 12+ Months <vishrut.bha...@mphasis.com> *Data Analyst* *Description:* We're seeking a data analyst(s) for the Voyager Program that will support for the various Voyager development groups in helping them understand and consume the Voyager data architecture, and strategic data models, including the MDM Hubs. - Provides subject area domain experience back to the Voyager development groups. - Creates design documents including metadata samples, use cases and data flows to facilitate the development group usage of the subject area. - Develops a deep understanding of source systems and how they are transformed for Voyager. - Develops a business understand of the business and business processes implemented in the subject area. - Creates test scenarios and test data to support both quality assurance and user acceptance testing. - Works in coordination with the Project Manager, technical lead, business areas, and project team members to evaluate any existing data analysis needs within the current environment. Requirements: - Candidate should possess excellent skills in data analysis/modeling, communication, documentation, coordinating activities, working with others, problem solving, and delivering high quality solutions on time. - 7 years experience in relational and dimensional data modeling - Maintains awareness of data architecture / modeling best practices - Excellent written and oral communication skills - Must be a self starter and able to work with little supervision - Solid experience in Business Intelligence - Strong knowledge of Oracle PL/SQL and SQL*PLUS or TOAD - Experience with data modeling tools (Embarcadero ER/Studio experience a plus) - Solid problem solving skills - Solid analytical and communicational skills - Excellent documentation and writing skills The Data Analyst must have a solid working knowledge of the following: - Database and Object-Oriented Analysis and Design techniques - Database Administration principles - An understanding of the (implementation) language and environment. - Data integrity and migration activities to improve operating efficiency. Education: A four-year college degree in information systems, computer science or engineering (but we prefer candidates who have a master's degree for senior roles).
