*Position:Unix Engineer with Splunk Location:Charlotte,NC Duration: 6 Months possible extension* *Targeted Skills & Competencies: This position requires an IT professional with at least 10 years of experience in the IT industry. Candidates must have a strong background in Splunk and related technologies. Candidates should also have experience in UNIX, scripting, log analysis, and report generation. Primary Responsibilities (Role): • Administer Splunk infrastructure • Provide pro-active guidance for enhancements of the Splunk infrastructure • Interact with internal customers of the Splunk infrastructure providing support and guidance • Build custom reports and queries • Integrate diverse technologies (server, storage, network, application, and other log analysis tools) with the Splunk infrastructure • Develop partnerships with engineering, operations, and application development groups. • Report on progress to technical lead, project manager and technology management.
