ENGINEERING LAB SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR
The Engineering Lab Systems Administrator will be responsible for
maintaining and monitoring engineering labs, installing, supporting and
maintaining servers or other computer systems. Other duties may include
scripting or light

programming, racking gear or project management for systems-related
projects. To perform his or her job well, an Engineering Labs systems
administrator must be a self-starter capable of operating independently as
well as

operating in a group environment. Candidate must be a good listener and
have a good blend of technical skills and be creative.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
The Engineering Labs Systems Administrator will manage and support
Engineering labs both hardware and software, along with various network and
applications-based systems and structures.
Establishes system by planning and executing the selection, installation,
configuration, and testing of PC and server hardware, software, and
operating and system management systems.
Maintains system performance by performing system monitoring and analysis,
and performance tuning; troubleshooting system hardware, software, networks
and operating and system management systems; escalating application

problems to vendor.
Analyzing system logs and identifying potential issues with computer
systems or appliances.
Performing routine audits of systems and software.
Build FireEye appliances and or configure test simulations per engineering
requirements.
Maintain a functional and clean work space which may include lab inventory.


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to lift 50 lbs.

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:
System Administration, Developing Standards, Multi-tasking, Networking
Knowledge, 6+ years system administration experience required.
5+ years administering and maintaining Unix/Linux environment, specifically
Redhat/CentOS; requiring a working knowledge level
5+ years administering and maintaining networking equipment including use
of Cisco CLI, programming switches and understanding basic network
infrastructure
3+ years demonstrated knowledge of virtual platforms and architectures;
including VMWare ESX/ESXi 4.0 and newer
Excellent written/oral communication skills
Excellent organizational and time management skills
