Position: Business Analyst Location: Boston, MA Duration: 6 Months Job Overview
This role is responsible for creating business requirements for sales initiatives. The Business Analyst is responsible for coordinating and communicating with other business areas as well as with key external and internal customers with regard to business requirements, user acceptance testing, training, and operational readiness activities. The role is responsible for root cause analysis, and the job responsibilities vary along with the phase of the project. Throughout all projects the Business Analyst meets regularly with the teams to accomplish the objectives presented in the below description. Major Responsibilities: · Represent the interests of the Sales division on projects and initiatives by translating business needs into requirements and redesigned business processes · Subject matter expert for sales systems providing system administration (if needed), troubleshooting support and solutions · Identify and analyze internal process issues in an effort to implement a solution or process improvement that greatly reduce manual efforts or provide increased customer value · Provide subject matter expertise for new product and initiatives and ensure critical sales systems are enhanced to handle our changing business needs · Work with IT and vendor partners to ensure that system and data design aligns with requirements and business needs · Facilitate and/or participate in cross functional workgroups as needed to ensure project deliverables are met · Coordinate and communicate with other business areas and IT regarding business requirements and testing issues/status · Assist with the identification and mitigation of project issues and risks · Provide root cause analysis · Track and report project progress, developing key testing metrics and strategies · Work with project teams and vendors to gather and write requirements and provide insights into system opportunities and limitations · Manage user acceptance testing for sales systems: writing uses case business scenarios; writing and executing test plans, managing resource assignments, root cause analysis, lead defect resolution and developing testing strategies/scenarios and determine test data requirements and assist/lead the management of the quality of testing execution · Provide subject matter expertise on sales processes, data and system integration to assist in the development of solutions to both short and long term business issues · Develop and maintain effective working relationships with key external and internal customers · Effectively document system procedures and training materials for sales teams and external customers as needed · Assist in developing project implementation plans and required materials including process flow documentation and training materials/manuals Qualifications: (Knowledge, skills and abilities) · Strong business analysis skills to be able to ensure that system design aligns with business requirements · Advance problem solving and analytical skills · Must be very detail oriented and be able to interpret, articulate and document business needs · Excellent verbal and written communication skills to be able to communicate effectively with all audiences, including senior management · Must have the ability to understand the impact of business changes on applications and to research current processes and develop future possible solutions and suggestions · Must be self motivated, professional, results oriented and promote a positive team spirit · Ability to take calculated actions in complex or ambiguous situations to set a direction or resolve issues · Solid knowledge of standard Microsoft tools · Solid knowledge of Salesforce.com application and development tools · Must be detail-oriented with strong analytical skills · Solid working knowledge of application development testing and SDLC Education/Relevant Experience: · BS/BA degree · Health insurance experience preferred · 3-5 years of Salesforce.com experience preferred · Experience developing business requirements · Experience with business process improvement and redesign many thanks Rakesh 617-614-7059 e-mail:rak...@vencesoft.com -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Oracle-Projects" group.
