Hi Associates Hot Requirement Position: ETL Developer
Location: Windsor, CT Longevity: 3 months Travel: None Start Date: ASAP ------------------------------ ETL Developer The ETL Developer must have 6 – 7 years of IT ETL experience overall. Candidate must have excellent software development skills and experience following the software development lifecycle process. Candidate must have excellent analytical and communication skills including the ability to successfully convey information to both technical and non-technical audiences. Knowledge in the Healthcare Group Insurance industry and understanding of its terminology is a plus. The position requires the following: - Collaborate with business users/developers to provide required data - Research and provide alternatives and recommendations based on best practices and application functionality - Understands the business processes, how the application supports the business processes and applies this knowledge to best solve problems - Design and implement Extract, Transformation and Load (ETL) processes, programs and scripts - Gains necessary input/approval of requirements and design and participates in code reviews and may perform code review for others - Creates system and user documentation - Develop solutions to leverage ETL tools and suggest process improvements - Conduct root cause analysis and resolve production problems and data issues - Validate the data in the database and also responsible for testing the routines developed - Collaborate with requirements team to develop design specifications - Provide ongoing maintenance and support of assigned ETL flows and their target applications - Assist users with problems and resolves issues independently - Create test plans, test cases, test scripts and performs unit testing - Create and maintain system documentation - Work with existing systems to track and manage requests and issues Essential Skills Required: *- 6 – 7 years of ETL datastage development - Strong technical expertise in datastage - Should have more than 3 years of experience in datastage parallel extender - Good knowledge of data warehouse concepts - Ability to write ETL detailed design specifications - Experience working with DB2/Oracle 10/11g - Strong SQL skills including complex query building and query performance tuning - Working knowledge of software development and support methodologies *- Self-starter able to take initiative and operate with minimal supervision - Prior experience with Off-shore team coordination ESSENTIAL SKILLS REQUIRED Primary Skills: -* Ascential DataStage 7.x&6.0 XE/5.2 (Parallel Extender) - IBM Infosphere suite 8.1 DB2 - Oracle 10/11G - SQL - Unix - Shell Scripting * ETL Development: - 6+ Years - IBM certification in Datastage preferred Secondary: - Domain Knowledge - Healthcare NONESSENTIAL SKILLS DESIRED - Soft Skills - Excellent Communication (Oral & Written), Presentation along with Strong Analytical Skills. - Good interpersonal skills, able to work effectively on a team - Willing to share technical knowledge, but not in a classroom situation Thanks and Regards, Ryan Marshall | Panzer Solutions LLC 45 Stuart Ave, K Norwalk CT 06850 USA Direct:203 652 1444 ext 127| Fax: 203-286-1457 , E-mail:ryan.marsh...@panzersolutions.com -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Oracle-Projects" group.
