*Description:
* This position will require the individual to*leverage existing
technologies and develop new solutions*to deliver the*GIS*components of
a*disconnected mobile application*. The candidate will have a broad
knowledge of existing GIS technologies and will be capable of
recommending the best solutions. This position will require the
individual to expand on EVOLVING business requirements to ensure that
proper technical solutions are designed and implemented. The successful
applicants will have broad responsibilities for designing, building and
implementing mission critical software to a 24X7 customer work
environment. This position requires*STRONG SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT
SKILLS*and technical leadership. In-depth PROGRAMMING and interpersonal
skills will allow the applicants to play a major part in strategic plan.
*DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
* -DEVELOP/recommend*basemaps*for a disconnected mobile application.
-DEVELOP routing solutions across multiple networks for a*disconnected
mobile application.*
-DEVELOP these applications according to customer requirements,
following BNSF development standards, for applications within Technology
Services .
-Coordinate with other technical teams to*DEVELOP appropriate
interfaces*and ensure quality and efficiency through capacity planning,
performance assessment, and both integration and regression testing.
-Coordinate customer acceptance testing and ensure customer satisfaction
through timely resolution of issues, regular status reports, and ongoing
communication.
*BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:*
-*Significant DEVELOPMENT experience and EXPERT understanding of GIS
technologies*
-DEVELOPMENT experience with*ArcGIS*Server and ArcGIS Runtime
-Experience working with*basemaps*in a disconnected mobile environment
-Experience building a routing application in a disconnected mobile
environment
-Experience working with a team of developers to deliver high quality
solutions
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
-Experience working with GIS software from multiple GIS vendors
-Some Graphic Design experience/talent is a plus
-Experience and/or Strong Understanding of developing applications
for*WPF*and iOS
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
Experience with*C#,*Java,*JavaScript*, Dojo, and AJAX.
*Experience with Esri JavaScript API*
