Job title: Sr. MVC 4 Developer / MVC 4 ARCHITECT
Location: Watertown, MA
Duration: 8+ Months
Must haves: At least 3-4 years of MVC experience, including MVC 4, ASP.NET,
Web Services, SQL
Need for mid to senior developers with Excellent communication skills.
Project Information:
Rewrite from the ground up of the UI and Service tier
Center Reservation system
Pricing and inventory for hotels
Core administrative console for hotels to input the rates and room
descriptions
They software is also going to absorb their property management system that
will be used at the hotels.
From the middle and back end they are going to keep the central reservation
system and they are absorbing the new screens into it.
All of the work is purely related to UI development.
This is just bring in the new business forms (screens) in to the existing
system.
SOA layer is called for all CRUD operations (WCF, SOAP)
This team only consumes web services
Technologies & Tools:
ASP.NET MVC 4.0 (ASP.NET rendering engine)
NHibernate as the ORM
Web Services (WCF, SOAP, consume only)
Business logic sites behind web services
C#
SQL Server is a plus
Development Methodology:
Waterfall for customer enhancement work
Agile-ish for internal development
Teams are co-located by function
They do user stories for all work.
Some manual, some automated testing (Selenium)
Skills Needed:
They are looking for both work horse and team lead developers
Mid to Senior developers
No need for SQL skills
Web services is a plus
