Data validation types They will train them on their proprietary ETL platform (HPCC) Prefers people who come from a Unix/Linux environment but not a requirement Have to have prior experience doing high level data validation within an enterprise DW/BI environment – not just backend database testing 3 openings and would like to have people start in July. Said that he will be picky. Looking for strong technical and driven senior test engineer capable of learning new technology and work in a fast paced environment. Ideal candidate needs to show initiative and be a good team player. Education/Experience Bachelors degree in computer science, computer engineering or relevant field required Candidate must possess at least 5 years’ experience in Conducting Data Warehouse/ETL/BI Testing Responsibility level Exercises independent judgment with minimal direction from supervisor Skills Strong experience with SQL and unstructured, large volume data Knowledge and experience with UNIX and Linux Excellent communication and troubleshooting skills is a must for this position Experience with Java, Python, shell scripting is preferable Prior testing experience with applications developed on multiple operating systems Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, customer service and interpersonal skills (Required) Strong ability to work independently and manage one’s time (Required) Strong knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology (Required) Strong knowledge of computer development software, such as C++, Linux, JavaScript, etc (Required) Knowledge of web based technologies, application servers and patterns Major Job Duties and Responsibilities: Design test plans, scenarios, scripts or procedures Test system modifications to prepare for implementation Develop testing programs that addresses areas such as database impacts, software scenarios, or usability Document software defects, using a bug tracking system, and report defects to software developers Identify, analyze and document problems with program function, output, online screen or content Monitor bug resolution efforts and track successes Create or maintain databases of known test defects Create test plans and test cases as they relate to testing project requirements to ensure the overall quality of software delivered Plan test schedules or strategies in accordance with project scope or delivery dates Thanks.
