Further, position will define hardware requirements and storage capacity planning for Development, Testing, QA, Staging, and Production for scalable database growth and performance. Proactively monitor the Production Database(s) and optimize SQL for better performance. Identify and resolve database performance issues, database capacity issues and other distributed data issues. Must be able to demonstrate initiative to identify issues, develop a solution and champion its implementation. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Resolves complex or ambiguous database issues Analyzes, designs, creates and implements highly complex database applications in all environments Administers, supports, maintains, optimizes, and monitors complicated database applications in all environments Support high availability database infrastructure including Clustering and Database Mirroring Perform database Backup and recovery in support of business continuity Administer performance tuning opportunities for database optimization Coordinates and collaborates with developers and application users to determine requirements Investigates and resolves difficult and advanced database application problems Participates in systems planning, scheduling and implementation Reviews systems under development and work closely with application teams from inception to production deployment Acts as a source of direction, training and guidance for less experienced staff Other Knowledge, Skills or Abilities Required: Windows Operating Systems SharePoint or EPK application administration a plus T-SQL programming SSIS, SSRS Windows OS Strong problem solving and communication skills Self Motivated and multi-tasking individual that works well in a team environment -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Oracle-Projects" group.
