Job Description:
Our client is a product company and a leader in Cloud Services within the
Enterprise Content Management ( ECM ) space, located in downtown Chicago.
They are growing rapidly and looking to hire several strong Software
Engineers with strong Object Oriented Programming ( OOP ) and Object
Oriented Design ( OOD ) experience within an Agile ( Scrum ) environment
that involves working in a large distributed environment. Though, this
client is running C# .Net, they are open to speaking with strong Java or
Ruby developers who have had some experience with C# and have a strong
desire to become an expert in C# development. The role will involve dealing
with large-scale processing, replication, and scaling. The ideal candidate
for this role will have a passion for technology and the ability to
strongly contribute to the end product within a team. The role includes
meeting with business users and consulting on which additional features
make sense and which do not, bringing this information to the team, then
moving the ideas forward by contributing to how the solution should be
coded and put into production. This position is ideal for a coder that has
experience working with large, rapid implementations. The Senior Software
Engineer role involves coding for the internal platform and for the Web
interface. The ideal candidate must have strong Unit Testing and Scripting
skills.
Requirements:
3+ years of software engineering experience in C# preferred with strong
design pattern work. Will consider Java or Ruby candidates who are open to
learning C#.
Strong design, scalability, and replication experience in a large,
distributed environment.
Experience working in an Agile ( Scrum ) environment with multiple release
expectations.
Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, DOM and jQuery.
Strong knowledge of database architectures that are capable of working with
Big Data.
Strong Unit Testing experience with the ability to find bugs prior to
production.
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related
field.
Pluses include: C, C++, Extreme Programming / Agile / Scrum, Big Data,
Hadoop, Hive and Lucene, SQL, NoSQL, BPM ( Business Process Management ) or
ECM ( Enterprise Content Management ).
