*About the SDET opportunity:*
The Weather Channel QA department is looking for an energetic, proactive
and experienced SDET. In this role, you will contribute to the testing and
automation effort on various broadcast and proprietary broadcast
localization projects.

*Duties and Responsibilities:*
You will be a member of a technical QA team and contribute to the testing
effort for the broadcast localization and broadcast transmission projects.
In this position you will work closely with other team members to identify
features, write manual and automate test cases, test hardware, firmware and
software, maintain test libraries and report on findings.

*REQUIREMENTS:*
*Functional/Technical Skills:*

•         White and black box testing skills
•         Hardware and firmware testing skills
•         Test plan creation and defect triage
•         Network and cable transmission troubleshooting skills
•         Video quality inspection and testing
•         Windows and Linux administration skills
•         Creating and modifying XML and HTTP
•         Shell/Bash scripting skills

*Education & Experience –*

•         4 years of QA experience
•         2 years of experience in test automation (or development) role
•         Experience testing hardware, firmware and broadcast transmission
preferred
•         Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent is required
