Location: Pennington, NJ *Description* *Provides overall project management for medium to large, strategic initiatives that may cross multiple lines of business, platforms, and products within Bank of America/Merrill Lynch. Partners with business sponsors at the executive level to deliver highly complex, high risk technology based projects from initiative to delivery. Excels in creating a consolidated and cohesive view of project(s) status, direction, and financial health. Manages effective and timely communication to many audiences across project teams and senior leadership. Works with business, vendor, and technology partners to develop technology concepts, requirements, design alternatives, detailed project plans and schedules, and costs for new systems initiatives. Plans and directs highly complex project and program schedules and budgets, monitoring project status in comparison to cost and time projections. Provides consistent and comprehensive status reports, project updates, and ongoing cost analyses, significant issue management/resolution and communication, usually at executive levels. Provides consistent and clear direction to project staff. Able to mentor project managers in all areas of project management. Basic Qualifications 7-10 years of technology project management experience Minimum Qualifications 7+ years's demonstrated on-the-job experience delivering on-time IT projects within budget that meets the following characteristics: 30+ project team members, duration of 12 months or greater, spans 3+ application platforms, high visibility by senior management, and cross department/line of business sponsorship. Experience must include estimating, managing, controlling, administering, budgeting, and executing project efforts. Considerable experience in formal project management skills, methods, tools, and techniques. Substantial experience in formal issue and risk management. Strong leadership, organizational, and motivational skills. Substantial experience interacting with line of business management. Significant recent experience with SDLCs and structured approaches to project management in a regulated environment with routine, formal project audits and methodology and risk management adherence. Significant ongoing experience with MS Project or equivalent. Excellent personal competencies in the areas of problem solving, adaptability, organizational skills, management skills, teamwork, communication, and interpersonal skills. Strong IT business competencies in the areas of business acumen, project leadership, project planning, risk management, relationship management, and industry knowledge. Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills. Ability to travel 10% of the time.
