Title: .Net Solution Architect posted on 2014-04-02 12:45:36 Job Description:.Net Solution Architect 6 months + Location: OK Primary Responsibilities: * Participate in process flow analysis and process redesign * Translate the business requirements into system requirements and solution designs * Must demonstrate good judgment and pragmatic approach to delivering software that optimizes architecture activities across company needs, business constraints and technological realities * Perform architectural analysis including but not limited to defining the candidate architecture and defining the reuse strategy. * Provide input into the planning activities for the schedule, budget and scope. * Develop and prioritize use cases, determine the highest risk and central functionality, and ensure architectural coverage. * Translate requirements into technical work items in an assigned Application Lifecycle Management framework. Knowledge and Experience: * 3+ years of experience as a solutions architect and deploying large scale, complex business related applications. * Knowledge in web-based systems architecture, service-oriented architecture, enterprise application architecture as well as experience managing expectations when balancing alternatives against business and financial constraints * Should have hands-on expertise in some of the following technologies: C# .NET MVC and related technologies (JSON, XML, etc), Common frameworks (Entity Framework, NHibernate, Unit Testing, and Telerik RadControls) and Microsoft based database technologies (SSIS, SQL Server Service Broker, SSAS, and SSRS) * Should have participated in, and be familiar with, Agile (Scrum) project methodology and practices * Experience with Team Foundation Server Application Lifecycle Management * Candidate must be organized and analytical, adept at working in a team environment, able to design and implement a project schedule, and able to handle multiple priorities. * Proven leadership skills, particularly with providing architectural direction as it relates to application deployment/development and integration Contractor will have to provide their own laptop and we will provide them with a virtual machine to log into to gain access to the state network. Preferred: Ability to be onsite at the ODCTE headquarters in Stillwater, OK; 1 -2 days per week for team meetings and other touch base activities. No travel will be paid for on this statement of work. (All travel costs should be included in the hourly rate or the overall costs if providing a turn-key cost.)
