Duration: 1 year Qualifications: 1) Java/J2EE 8+ yrs Expert Required 2) WebSphere/Web Logic 5+ yrs Expert Required 3) Database 5+ yrs Expert Required 4) Oracle + RAC 5+ yrs Expert Required 5) Production Support 3+ yrs Expert Required 6) Application Design 5+ yrs Expert Required 7) Systems Architecture 5+ yrs Expert Required 8) Virtualization/Cloud (IaaS, PaaS) 3+ yrs Expert Required 9) Analytical Skills 10+yrs Expert Required 10) Leadership Skills 5+yrs Expert Required Project Description: (What project will the NPW be working on?) The Resilient Technology Architecture (RTA) initiative will establish a living set of architecture principles and patterns (collateral) that can be employed by designers and developers to insure the elasticity, scalability, fault-self-recoverability, performance, etc. of our applications and services. The RTA collateral will form a core initiative to reactively address design problems identified in post outage sessions, to proactively improve design patterns for resilience in the SDLC, and to broadly train IT architects, designers, and developers in a resiliency-oriented mindset (culture). Roles and Responsibilities: Designs, develops, documents and analyzes overall architecture of systems on emerging technologies, including hardware and software. Determines integrated hardware and software architecture solutions that meet performance, usability, scalability, reliability, and security needs Coordinates design and integration of total system including subsystems Researches and recommends technology to improve the current systems Subject Matter Expert (SME) within own discipline/specialty area; basic knowledge of other disciplines/specialty areas Integrates industry experience and deep professional/technical knowledge. Solves unique problems through evaluative judgment/precedent Independently applies sophisticated analysis in evaluating issues Develops new concepts/methods/techniques for cross functional emerging technologies initiatives Recognizes/pursues alternative methods Exercises latitude in determining objectives/approaches to projects. Leads multiple small to medium sized projects and technical breadth Overview: We are seeking highly skilled performance tuning developer/engineers. Candidates will initially and primarily be engaged with reactive aspects of identifying and driving resiliency modifications into production applications. Opportunities to engage will come from 3 major areas Post-outage reviews in which the root cause is the focus, but analysis ranges outward to examine technologies used, design, code libraries, and coding practices – generally conducted at high urgency Mission critical application code reviews, similar to 1 but not necessarily instigated by an outage – generally conducted at medium urgency Critical systems architecture analyses, in which an overall service is assessed as it flows through multiple discrete applications and service API’s, in order to identify the most and least critical elements of said service. Technical domains we are looking for strength in include: Java/J2ee Database, big data (Hadoop/Cassandra) Middleware (Weblogic/Websphere/Apache) Platform/cloud Emerging technologies Performance and diagnostic tools Requirements: Candidates must possess deep knowledge and experience in multiple technical domains and key technologies (for instance: Java/J2EE, database, cloud, big data, enterprise storage, etc. This is important so that candidate can understand at the deepest technical level what is intended by application design and its code, and how it can be made more resilient. Candidates must also have demonstrated breadth of experience by having a background in technology architecture, design, and development – i.e. role progression, as this is not an entry level position. This is important so that candidate can understand the bigger picture of application/API design elements, as well as overall systems design (consisting of multiple applications and API’s working together to deliver a service). As evidence of the knowledge and experience being sought, candidate must bring in an understanding of technology and systems resiliency concepts and methods. The project and candidate will share ideas on resilient collateral, and enrich the library of resilient principles and patterns that will be employed in applications. The job will entail a recurrent cycle of engaging with the support team for a distressed application, Understanding the nature and cause of the problem - (Mitigation Skills) Offering domain-specific tuning recommendations to get the application back to par ASAP. - (RCA Skills) -- *Thanks & Regards Hitesh Gurditta Phone :609-681-2604* *Email:h...@kpgtech.com* <email%3...@kpgtech.com> *| KPG99 Inc. 3240 E STATE ST EXT Hamilton, NJ 08619* -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Oracle-Projects" group.
