*Position : Front End UI Developer/Java* *Location : Palo Alto, CA* *Interview : In-person * *Description**: * SW Eng Support Specialist, Web Services As a member of the Web Services Customer Support team, the Support Engineer is responsible for overseeing the performance of various Cloud Services offerings, and related support demands, from New Product Introduction/New Product Readiness, to managing post-product launch sustaining issues affecting end-users and customers (may be internal or external). Activities include monitoring relevant end-user pain points, escalations, and ensuring resolution of various Cloud Services offerings through their entire evolution (development through end of life). The Support Engineer will coordinate with call centers, Quality Assurance (Customer Quality), Engineering, Product Management, Product Marketing, Finance, Developer Relations, and others to manage the support needs of the Customer Service Organization. In addition, the Support Engineer conducts, participates or drives technical research and collaboration with developers in the process, design, development, and usage of software development tools and systems. Responsibilities may include leading a project in an area of expertise, planning, supporting, coordinating, integrating, troubleshooting, and administering systems used as part of the Software Development infrastructure to control and release Software components. This applies to the documentation, design, code, integration, testing activities, change control activities, release activities and Process definitions as well as the tracking and delivery of Software products. Support Engineer will engage with cross-functional teams, represent the Customer Service Organization, and be an end-user / customer advocate. *Requirements**: * • *Solid JavaScript, CSS, HTML *skills and understanding along with Java abilities • *2 or more *years of experience writing *Java code* • Working experience with *JQuery and JSP* • Understanding of* HTML *form submission, *WS API calls and AJAX* • Experience using an Integrated Development Environment (e.g., Eclipse). Ability to perform database activities in *MySQL.* • Ability to understand and to communicate highly technical issues to non-technical groups. • Experience working in high-tech consumer products, in customer service, technical support, support engineering, new product introduction, in a Cloud Services organization.
