Location: CHICAGO, Illinois
Client: BCBS

Role: Informatics Deployment
The TSA for Informatics Deployment will be responsible for overall
management, scheduling, release notes, deployment guides, and oversight of
the deployment of software builds between development environments and into
Production. This role will be the primary liaison between the software
development team and the production support team. Key responsibility is to
ensure that software deployments are timely, high quality and complete.
*ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES *
Collaborate with Production support team and Software engineering resources
to deliver high quality deployments that meet department and customer
expectations for quality and schedule.
Ensures teams follow the organizations established policies and procedures
and assist in enhancing the deployment procedures and standards followed in
the organization.
Prepare & distribute management reports on the deployment and release
progress.
Ensures that all release packages are version controlled, released to a
Baseline Repository and that versions of Application Configuration Items
deployed to test environments are recorded accurately in a configuration
management DB and reported on a regular basis.
To conduct early life support activities such as providing ETL packing
related support advice to developers and environment users.
Design AbInitio EME branching and merging strategies; perform AbInitio EME
Code migration; Provide visualization of Control M Schedule dependency.
Ensures all releases can be accurately tracked, installed, tested, verified
and/or backed out if necessary.

*KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES *
7+ years of Experience in using industry standard Defect Management,
Incident Management and Knowledge Management tools - IBM Rational
Clearquest, IBM Rational Clearcase
7 years of experience in ETL tools - AbInitio EME, AbInitio Conduct>It,
AbInitio Metadata Hub, Control M.
7 years of Experience in coordinating release related activity across
multi-disciplinary support, development and test teams.
Knowledge of package skills in AbInitio, Tivoli WorkScheduler, ControlM,
product and delivery management systems.
Knowledge of databases such as DB2.
Significant hands-on experience in project management and Agile/Scrum
product development life cycles.
Demonstrated tactical skills combined with flexibility working in a
dynamic, fast moving product development environment.
Collaborative but decisive personal style; highly effective communicator
and problem solver.
A Bachelors degree required.
