*Job Title: Lead DataStage Developer (Face to Face/Locals Only)*
*Location: Chicago, IL*
*Duration: 6 month +*

*Job Description:*

The ETL lead will be responsible for the hands-on oversight and management
of the timely development of quality ETL solutions. This includes
estimating and assigning work to ETL developers, designing and developing
ETL jobs / packages, writing and implementing test cases, and resolution of
defects in the code. In addition to being the technical subject matter
expert for the ETL team, the ETL lead must also understand the business
requirements of the solution, and have a deep understanding of the data.


*Specific details include:*
·           Oversees development of ETL packages and Zena schedules
·           Oversees unit testing and creation of test data
·           Oversees assignment and resolution of defects
·           Identifies system deficiencies and recommends solutions
·           Effectively manages and prioritizes multiple tasks
·           Proactively seeks opportunities to mentor and coach ETL team
members
·           Adheres and adds to ETL technical standards


*JOB REQUIREMENTS:*

·           Minimum 6 years Data Stage development experience
·           Minimum 6 years SQL coding experience
·           Minimum 6 years of relational database experience, with at
least 3 years Teradata experience
·           Minimum 4 years Unix shell scripting experience
·           Minimum 3 years of ETL lead experience
·           Minimum 4 years of experience with job scheduling software
·           Minimum 2 years XML experience
·           Minimum 6 years with SDLC concepts such as version control,
programming methodologies, and code package creation and deployment through
various environments
·           Minimum of 4 years developing data warehouse / ODS solutions

*PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:*

·           Health care data knowledge and experience
·           IBM DB2 experience
·           IBM mainframe experience
·           ASG Zena / Zeke experience
·           General query debugging experience
·           Java experience
·           IBM MDM experience
·           Effective verbal and written communication skills
·           Knowledge of healthcare and payer practices, functions, and data

*Skills Required:*

Advanced Teradata skills (e.g., SQL, FastExport, compression), minimum of 5
years experience
PGP
UNIX:  For development of Kornshell scripts to execute Teradata BTEQ & UNIX
functions.  (Data transformations are   performed using SQL.)
FTP
Connect Direct
ETL Ascential DataStage (minimum 3 years)
ZENA:   For development of processes & scheduling.
Mainframe
BTEQ

Software development lifcycle process and the requirement to generate
supporting artifacts for each phase

Experience in data warehousing/data mart environment

Experience in data profiling, data analysis, data quality checking

Verbal & written communication skills with both IT and business (who
represent multiple levels within organization)
Ability to multi-task and work on multiple projects & prioritize correctly.
