*Position: IT - Technical Support 2/Software Engineer*
*6 months *
*Either USX in PA or in the Cleveland Ops Center in Ohio but preferred USX
Building.*


*Description:*

Perform design tasks and develop components of application and technical
architecture, Develop test cases and data, Execute tests for the
application or technical architecture components, work with other
programmers, designers, and architects to meet application requirements and
performance goals, participate in code reviews, inform the technical
architect and project manager of any issues that may affect any other areas
of the project, fix any defects and performance problems discovered in
testing, document the application to facilitate maintenance.

*Responsibility*:
Install, configure, and support an organization's UNIX environment, across
AIX, Solaris and Linux platforms.
Responsible for project work as it relates to technical builds and guidance
towards established standards, including entire server lifecycle through
decommissioning process.

*Education/Experience*: Associate degree in computer related field
required. Bachelor degree in computer science preferred. 5-6 years
experience required.

*Skills and Competencies*:

Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, customer
service and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and manage one's time.
Ability to identify, interpret and evaluate system and network requirements.
Knowledge of computer hardware and software as it relates to AIX, Solaris
and Linux platforms.

*Major Job Duties and Responsibilities*:

Maintain and administer server environment and related computing
environments including computer hardware, systems software, applications
software and all configurations.
Perform data backups and disaster recovery operations, as well as
decommissioning operations when necessary.
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware, software, or other network
and system problems, and replace defective components when necessary.
Perform other duties as assigned.
