DCRA is Seeking a strong technical consultant to assist in a short term website and application development project. Resource must be prepared to accommodate a very aggressive schedule. Demonstrate exceptional knowledge of SDLC processes, inputs/outputs , standards and best practices Demonstrate exceptional knowledge of development methodologies, software design and design patterns, integration standards as well as its applicability at coding and testing cycles Demonstrate exceptional knowledge of software engineering best practices such as: versioning and versioning control, software packaging and software release management Demonstrate exceptional knowledge of the application of development domain areas and specific technologies and tool set Demonstrate proficient knowledge of application architecture and architecture constructs as it connects to the enterprise architecture Adapting and quick learning of skill sets for various upgrades to the base technologies and exploring those for meeting business requirements. Experience developing websites using Ektron CMS. Work closely with the business, infrastructure support and development team Provide contributions to the application architecture with a focus on scalability, maintainability, security and performance Consults with client or department heads to define need or problem, conducts research, performs studies and surveys to obtain data, and analyzes problems to advise on or recommend solutions, utilizing knowledge of theory, principles, or technology of specific discipline or field of specialization. Requires knowledge in fields defined as information technology, computer programming, computer security, computer systems analysis, database management, information systems, Internet applications and development, software development, and related fields. Behavior Characteristics: Must have good written and oral communication skills. Must a self starter and work under minimal supervision. Skills: Skill Required / Desired Amount of Experience Expertise Rating Overall SDLC experience Required 12 Years Development of web applications using Microsoft technologies (ASP.NET, C#, Visual Studio, Windows Communication Foundation (WCF), web services, etc.) Required 8 Years Experience with SQL Server 2008 Required 5 Years Experience with content management systems, specifically Ektron CMS 8.6 or above Required 4 Years Experience with Google Search Appliance (GSA) Required 1 Years Experience with AuthorIT tool for managing user guides/technical documentation.
