Our Client is a specialized consulting firm with a proven track record in
delivering Program & Project Management, Requirements Management and
Business Process Improvement consulting services to Fortune 1000 and
mid-size companies.  As a result, one of our clients has a need for a
Senior Project Manager with Retail Banking experience for a 6 month
contracting position.  Contract extension is very likely provided the
consultant exceeds our client’s expectations.

*Responsibilities:*
·         Lead and manage projects related to risk/finance, the remediation
of MRA’s (Matters Requiring Attention) and other regulatory impacts.  This
is a multi- year initiative for our client.  This includes managing about 3
to 4 workstreams (projects) concurrently.
·         Work with cross functional teams to develop and track classic
project management deliverables (schedules, status reports, resource plans,
risks, issues logs, etc.).

   - Analyze and communicate the issues and risks as they relate to their
   project(s).
   - Lead from both a business and IT perspective; clearly setting
   expectations for each project major milestone and then managing the
   business and the project teams to those expectations.


*Required Skills:*

   - Minimum of 7 years of experience as a Project Manager, including
   managing projects on the business side (as opposed to just I.T. projects).
   - Some Retail Banking experience is a must.


   - Experience managing project(s) related to risk/finance, the
   remediation of MRA’s (Matters Requiring Attention) and other regulatory
   impacts (i.e. dodd-frank, etc.) is preferred!
   - Any exposure to managing business process improvement projects is a
   plus.
   - Must have experience managing multiple workstreams (projects)
   concurrently.
   - Must adaptable, can get up to speed quickly, be tactical in delivering
   project tasks under tight deadlines, with the ability to keep the big
   picture in mind at same time from a strategic perspective.
   - Must have well-rounded Project Management skills: i.e. risk
   mitigation, resource management, issue management, change management
   communication plans, etc).
   - Must be able to manage a project that is complex with a lot of moving
   components.
   - Ability to build and manage a team of people in order to effectively
   manage a project and ensure its’ success.
   - Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects in a cross-functional
   capacity.
   - Successful track record delivering projects successfully and within
   budget.
   - Ability to interact with all levels of personnel from technical to
   high level executive management, and influence key stakeholders in order to
   get things done and set proper expectations!
   - Strong leadership, assertiveness and interpersonal skills.
   - Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.

·         Self-starter, assertive, enthusiastic and has the political savvy
to get things done, yet maintain a likeable presence.
·         Must have experience with MS Excel and MS Project for managing
project tasks.
·         PMP certification is a preferred.
·         Bachelor’s degree is required.
