Title: SAS Developer Minnetonka, MN 6 months CTH posted on 2014-08-12 15:31:57 Job Description:*SAS Developer * *Minnetonka, MN * *6 months* *CTH* The Sr SAS Developer is responsible for developing and maintaining applications using a variety of technologies that support multiple lines of Business and IT initiatives. This individual may work independently or collaborate with a smaller group of developers in similar efforts. This position is responsible for technical analysis, design, development, testing, and deployment of IT solutions as needed by business or IT. The senior developer works closely with other subject matter experts and works on delivering technology including ETL / ELT, batch processing using Informatica, shell scripting, PL/SQL to support a multitude of data warehouse and its downstream. This person is required to accurately track work time based on project and/or daily work activities according to Finance department guidelines This position is a hybrid position that combines the role of data analyst, developer, consultant, troubleshooter, extract, transform and load (ETL). However depending on the domain (Application, Data, System, Security), level of expertise may vary. *Roles:* • Define, analyze, and review ETL technical requirements. • Understand the environment, development practice and standards adopted within the team and suggest changes wherever possible. • Lead small development efforts and mentor junior team members whenever possible. • Involve in code reviews, unit testing, peer reviews and partner with QA to document test criteria. • Identify repeatable patterns of ETL code and make it reusable and efficient. • Involve in data analysis and contribute to data design. • Create low level ETL design and review with other project team members. • Specifies and provides ownership of reusable application components or reusable application code. • Follow policies set for governance, compliance, security, infra structure and change management. • Practice and advocate data governance policies and standards as defined by the data architects, leads and management. • Develop standards, process flows and tools that promote and facilitate the mapping of data sources, documenting interfaces and data movement across the enterprise. • Provide application support for production applications and involve in on call rotation. • Accurately track work time based on project and /or daily work activities according to IT department guidelines. *Education/Experience* • Education Level: BS in Computer Science or related field a plus • Years of experience required: 8 years minimum experience in software development with a majority of this experience building applications on extranets for eCommerce or enterprise portals with dynamic content on the .Net platform *Specific types of experience required:* • Bachelors College degree (preferably in Computer Science) • Proficiency in SQL and Oracle PL/SQL is required. 2-3 years preferred. • Experience in healthcare environment 2-5 years preferred. • ETL (SAS) experience (5-10) years is required. • Business Intelligence / Data Warehousing methodology is required (2-3 years). • Strong data analysis skills. • The candidate has to be very analytical and strong data analysis skills are required. *Skills/Abilities:* • Ability to evaluate, analyze, design and implement solutions based on technical requirements. • Ability to identify solutions to complex problems and business processes using tools and technologies to improve efficiency through automation, re-use, design patterns, and best practices • Strong verbal and written communication skills including interpersonal skills • Ability to communicate to a variety of audiences in both verbal and written form • Ability to collaborate in a complex organization to meet the needs of business and IT *Click here to view full job description and apply <http://www.ejobsville.com/display-job/223755> (Registration not mandatory to apply for this job)* ------------------------------ Best regards, eJobsVille.com - For The Best Tech Jobs In Town -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Oracle-Projects" group.
