Title: Functional Automation Engineer posted on 2014-09-22 18:53:25 Job Description: This is our directclient opening for a Functional Automation Engineer located in Scottsdale, AZ. This is a long-term 6-12+ month contract position and our client is looking to hire ASAP. The QA Functional Automation Engineer will be involved in the testing and automation of an ASP.NET/SQL <http://asp.net/SQL> Server 2008 application suite. This position will deliver test automation to verify ASP.NET <http://asp.net/> user interface, SQL data and APIs that will serve as the quality certification for the regression testing and sign off for the Production deployment process. The functional automation engineer works with other members of the Team to assure that new features/changes continue to be automated, and automated testing suite is maintained and up to date on the existing features. This position requires strong SQL skills as well as testing ASP.NET <http://asp.net/> web sites. Experience in related languages and test suites required, and experience with TestComplete is a plus. Must be comfortable working in an agile environment where requirements and documentation evolve over time. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: Ability to establish Functional Automation framework from scratch Experience improving functional automation processes and efficiencies Develop functional automation test strategies & plans Collaborate with the manual QA Team in determining the suite of test cases to automate Understand customer needs and varied workflows used to meet functional automation goals Develop sophisticated functional automation scripts and metrics Hands on SQL experience Conduct functional automation testing for the new features as well as regression suite Responsible for monitoring, consolidation, analysis, and presentation of functional automation execution results in formal reports & presentations to help demonstrate proper coverage and QA sign off for the Production deployment process Ability to report on the functional automation test coverage at any given point in time Other duties as assigned POSITION REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Related Field required 5+ years of the Functional Automation experience Experience in developing functional automation frameworks Experience automating client server and web-based applications Experience in developing automation strategies & test plans Experience with TestComplete tool is preferred, but if not, QTP is okay Experience using defect tracking and source control systems Strong SQL skills and ability to automate database checkpoints, back-end logic verification, etc. Experience in VB scripting C#/.NET skills a plus Excellent written and verbal skills Strong analytical and problem solving skills Ability to multitask, set priorities and meet deadlines in a changing environment Experience with Agile / Scrum development process Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment Ability to work independently and as part of a team while demonstrating initiative and using good business judgment Experience with Software Development tools and methodology – JAVA, .NET coding, T-SQL, Rules Engine (Drools, Corticon, etc.), data mapping Experience with Microsoft SQL Reporting Services, Integration Services and/or Analysis Services Job Requirements: Total Experience as a QA Analyst/Engineer: Total Experience with Functional Testing: Total Experience with Automation Testing: Total Experience building out automation frameworks from scratch: Total Experience working with Agile/Scrum methodologies: Total Experience writing SQL Queries: Total Experience with VB Scripting: Total Experience with TestComplete, Selenium, or QTP (which one?) *Click here to view full job description and apply <http://www.ejobsville.com/display-job/249615> (Registration not mandatory to apply for this job)* ------------------------------ Best regards, eJobsVille.com - For The Best Tech Jobs In Town -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Oracle-Projects" group.
