*Position = Java Developer Location = Georgetown, KY Duration = 24 + months* *Skills & Qualification :* Provide second-level end user support for computer systems (software, hardware) and equipment (printer, plotter, and telecommunication devices). Trouble shoot problems and equipment repair and replacement. Provide support for on-site conference meetings (video conference, webmeeting) *Role Description :* Designs, develops, conducts full testing and supports production implementation as well as post implementation warranty period. Has a wider view of the system integration points and potential impacts for design decisions to new/existing systems and downstream processes. *Requirements/Must Have :* -Extensive experience (3-5 years) developing enterprise web based applications using Java and best-practice approaches to achieve a high degree of component reuse. - Strong development experience with Java and WebSphere version 8.x, Rational and Eclipse tools - Strong development experience with integration of WebSphere, WebSphere Portal, Oracle & SQL Server, Siteminder and eDirectory - Strong development experience with foundational Java technologies (e.g. Java Frameworks (Struts, Spring,), JSP and JavaScript). - Strong experience refactoring code and leading code reviews. - Strong communication and documentation skills (verbal and written). - Expertise in the design of N-tier web applications. - Strong interpersonal and leadership skills. - Creative thinking for providing innovative solutions. - Self Starter. This person needs to be able to identify opportunities for value on their own. - Experience in other development technologies is a plus. - Experience with Microsoft products (Excel, Project, Visio, Power Point, Word). *Skills & Qualification :* Coordinate, Design, Develop and Test system modifications for 20+ Java applications in a WebSphere/AIX/Oracle environment. Create technical design for web applications in this environment. Deliverables include system and component documentation, including Class Models, system overview and working Java based applications . Strong familiarity with application frameworks and Design Patterns is a must. Analysis and development of system components along with unit and system testing. Develop upgrades to applications using a combination of existing toolsets and custom code while constantly evaluating opportunities to create additional re-usable components in support of the business. Participate in code reviews to confirm that Toyota North America design standards are being followed or created as necessary.
