The coding challenge is to be submitted back to the Recruiter for presentation to the customer. Customer will review both resume and code challenge. With his approval a phone screen will take place. After a phone screen a F2F will be requested. It is a 2-3 hour process and a large part of this onsite interview will cover white boarding problems and solutions to evaluate investigative and critical thinking skills. Job Description Scope: The Merlin team is responsible for servicing clients with metadata which fuels media content. Candidate will be tasked with the investigation, communication, and resolution of software defects found within the domain of the Merlin team. Software defects will be assigned, candidate must prioritize and investigate appropriately Must Have: Writing feature code will not be required, however the ability to review Java code & analyze heap for errors will be core to the position Ideally looking for recent College graduates or those with just a few years of experience. Knowledge of OO programming concepts Problem Solving / Investigative and Critical thinking skills; root cause analysis and ability to dissect a problem to find outside the box solutions Must be able to clearly and efficiently communicate results of investigation to team members and developers Nice to Have: Experience in Spring, Hibernate, JDBC, Oracle preferred.The Merlin team is responsible for servicing clients with metadata which fuels media content.
