Position Description: Located in Pasadena, CA Client is looking for a test automation specialist to assist with our automation projects. This position will serve a support role for our testing organizations, and managed by the Quality Management Office. RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: Analyze use cases and develop automation scripts Meet with testers to validate test scripts Automation implementation MINIMUM QUALFICATIONS (Explicit tasks and experience must be on resume): QTP Certified QA Automation Engineer. Web-based and Client-Server Applications. Software Development Life Cycle, especially with respect to QA. Test Plans, Test Procedures and Test Cases. Black Box Testing and Regression Testing. Manual and automated testing using HP QTC. Quality Center, Borland, Matador and other SOA testing suites, past experience with Mercury Interactive tools like Load Runner, Quick Test Pro and Test Director. Backend Testing and Data Integrity Testing using SQL statements. UNIX Shell Scripts. TCP/IP, HTTP and FTP. Buffer Overflows, SQL injection, Cross-Site Scripting. PREFERRED QUALIFICAITONS: Experience with SOX and HIPAA requirements as they pertain to the software development lifecycle. Familiar with the concepts and techniques of CMMI, ISO, and/or Six Sigma. Mastery of Excel for data manipulations and analysis. Experience working as a consultant, either internally or externally. Familiar with software development best practices. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to quickly establish trust-based working relationships with peers and senior managers. Self-motivated, ability to take on projects and drive them to completion. Ability to work effectively in a consensus-driven culture. Ability to clearly communicate orally and in writing to groups large and small.
