Job Description
IT PM - Senior

Senior Project Manager for the CORE subproject: Interfaces. This is the Lead
PM for this subproject and will coordinate all application development
activities for the Shield Advance Program. This resource will manage the
work schedules of multiple application development delivery managers to
engage resources and coordinate the efforts of team members, third-party
contractors and consultants.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
• 7 to 10 years of prior IT project manager and/or Lead project manager
experience within a large, complex and heterogeneous company.
• PMI-PMP certification
• Demonstrated experience working with large, complex schedules in Microsoft
Project Server 2007.
• Experience with TriZetto Facets implementations or managing other large
Health Care systems implementation projects
• Experience with large packaged software implementation projects and SDLC
phases
• Strong communications skills to facilitate effective coordination between
delivery managers, project coordinators and team members.
• Demonstrated experience working closely with business units and acting as
a liaison to the technical team.

Responsible for ensuring timely delivery of project deliverables according
to plan. Will be responsible for assembling multiple ad hoc project teams,
assigning individual tasks, identifying appropriate resources and developing
schedules to ensure timely completion of project deliverables to meet
program milestone deadlines. Will also assist Team Lead with resource
planning and budget estimations as requested.

Requires regular, detailed, comprehensive communications with internal and
external parties on project status, to include executive summary, risks,
issues and decisions made affecting the project. Prepares Program level
reports for senior management review and maintains project plans and project
artifacts in Microsoft Project Server 2007. Provides input to senior
management team with regards to defining and implementing strategic and
tactical improvements for the project.

Will manage the application design, development and implementation for a
large scale TriZetto Facets systems program. Responsible for assembling
project team, assigning individual responsibilities, identifying appropriate
resources needed and developing schedule to ensure timely completion of
project and meeting interim deadlines of project. Communicates with internal
and external parties on project status. Prepares reports for management
review. Large scope and high complexity for this projects make prior
experience critical for success. May have interim managerial responsibility
for staff. Responsible for a large complex project within a much larger
complex program. As part of a broader management team, candidate will have
influence on business unit, project or function strategies and objectives.
Requires 7 to 10 years of prior managerial level experience. May provide
management direction to team members during project life cycle.
