Responsibilities: Designs logical and physical databases structures. Reviews description of changes to database design to understand how changes affect the physical database. Works with GO& I team to establish physical database parameters. Codes database extract, transform and load procedures on UNIX and wintel environments using several different tools and languages. Helps define database access levels for users. Tests, corrects errors, and refines changes to databases to improve overall and specific query performance. Works with programmers and analysts to make changes to the database. Writes DML, DDL, PKGs, etc. Reviews and corrects developer DML, DDL and PKGs, etc. Trains and answers developer questions regarding the database structures. Confers with co-workers to determine impact of database changes on other systems and staff cost for making changes to databases. Tunes database programs to increase processing performance. MUST HAVES 7-9 years of Oracle Database Architect/ Developer/ DBA experience 7-9 years of Designing tables, creating ETL routines, tuning queries experience This is a 1 month contract that they are looking to fill immediately.
