The candidate must have 5+ years of experience in a Perl/C++ in Unix environment with strong problem-solving and organizational skills. The candidate must also be familiar with the Software Development Lifecycle framework and be able to multi-task and deliver on tight timeframes. *KEY RESPONSIBILITIES*: - Responsible for maintenance and enhancements of existing applications. Analyze current programs and processes and make recommendations to further improve the efficiencies of the existing products. - Will develop new programs using prescribed set of specifications. - Write test plans, cases and conditions for testing the applications. - Support the existing and new applications in production and QA environments. - Write and maintain programming documentation. *EXPECTED OUTCOMES* Develop an understanding of the existing applications in order to be able to maintain and enhance these applications. Design and develop new applications that are critical to meet the Basel II and Risk Management requirements. CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS - 5+ years of programming experience. Expertise in Perl and C/C++ in Unix Environment is a must. - Advanced knowledge of Network Programming. - Familiarity with Grid Technology. - Must be able to communicate and interact effectively with clients, project manager and IT staff from various system applications. - Ability to demonstrate critical-thinking and problem solving skills - Must be able to communicate and interact effectively project managers, developers and business clients - Must be well organized and able to work on multiple projects, working groups, and applications simultaneously - Knowledge of Derivatives and Credit Risk application a plus - Must be well organized and able to manage own time to meet deliverables and deadlines.
