DB Admin (2) Sr. Level

Responsibilities:


   - Database Design - work with project DA to establish a database design
   that will support the projects processing and performance requirements.
   Performance and tuning reviews - work with the project and production
   support teams to evaluate and tune database access performance and database
   system level performance.
   - Assist developers in tuning application SQL tuning.
   - Implementation of databases and data schemas for applications Deploying
   database changes to DEV,SIT,UAT and production Environment maintenance for
   non-production including backups, space management upgrades and patches.
   - Prepare deployment documentation and change control
   - Deliverables:
   - Database environments for DEV, SIT, UAT, Performance Test and End to
   End test environment
   - Database code to DEV, SIT, UAT, Performance Test and End to End test
   environment and Production
   - skill: Senior (7+ yrs)
   - skills:
   - IMS v9 database support on MVS. Should be proficient at working with
   developers and assisting with data setup. Use of COPE for IMS is a plus.
   - DB2 v8 or v9 on MVS. Should be proficient at SQL tuning, working with
   developers on application and database tuning and support. Ability to work
   independantly as after hours support will be required.
   - If the person also has distributed database admin skills that would be
   a plus.

*POSITION # 2:*

Project Manager (1)


   - The successful candidate will serve as a Project Manager for the
   Architecture Services (AS) department.
   - AS consists of two areas: Enterprise Architecture and Service Layer.
   - This Project Manager (PM) will manage one or more projects for the
   Service Layer team in support of the Advantage 1.0 Initiative.
   - The projects could last from 3-6 months each.
   - These projects focus on 1) developing services (e.g., Loan Boarding,
   Loan Activity) for applications in the Initiative or 2) on the creation and
   adoption of standardized tools for developers working on the Initiative.
   - The PM will drive and manage the project(s) in terms of:


   1. Documenting the problems to be addressed
   2. Defining the end-state to be achieved and deliverables to be produced
   D
   3. Defining tasks, durations, resources & dependencies in a project plan
   4. Calculating project budgets and forecasts
   5. Managing actual expenses
   6. Creating required status & management reports
   7. Driving the project(s) to complete deliverables and tasks on-time and
   within the budget.
   8. Adhering to the Clients project lifecycle process that is appropriate
   for the specific project: PMLC, SDLC, AM-CP

Ability to organize high-level problems & objectives, to structure an
approach, solution & project plan, and to lead / manage a team through the

Previous work experience at Freddie Mac is highly desirable and recommended.
This includes:
Understanding of the Single Family and Financial Accounting business
processes, data elements and computer applications; - working knowledge of
Freddie Mac's current PMLC, SDLC and AM-CP project management and software
development processes.
