Description: We currently have 1 Linux Sys Admin, who is overwhelmed with both client requests for service as well as internal systems management issues. The new Admin will be responsible for complete systems rebuilds for all of our internal users, including 15 local staff and 5 other off-site staff across the country. The ideal candidate will have a passion for Linux, and will be knowledgeable about Ubuntu and Debian OS. They will focus on desktop-related admin work, while providing troubleshooting assistance to the Sr. Admin for server and production issues. Required: - 1-2 years of Help Desk experience - Windows or Linux - 1-2 years of Systems Admin experience - Linux experience required. - Strengths in Ubuntu, Debian a must -Other flavors of Linux OS, including RedHat a plus Preferred: - PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle database exposure - Scripting ability - Bash, Perl, Shell - Server build experience - Network protocol knowledge - DNS/LDAP/VPN/HTTP - Cisco routing/switching experience Thanks & Regards, Angela Thomas Account Manager - Data Group Inc.
