Must be local to tri-state area!! Position: J2EE with Rational Test experience Location: New York, NY Duration: 3+ Months Best rate: $50/hr + Expenses Phone interview followed by F2F. Candidates must be local to Tri-State area. Description: 1. Develop Java Scripts based on requirement utilizing "Rational Functional Tester" 2. The candidate will be focusing on creating the Framework (business components, object maps, utilities...etc.) 3. As a member of the project team, the Programmers are responsible for application design/analysis, developing project plans, coding, testing, documenting all code, and maintaining and upgrading existing applications. 4. Debug and/or recommend system efficiencies and improvements. 5. Participate in full cycle of enterprise software development. 6. Responsible for discovery, development of business requirements. 7. Evaluate the various procedural and/or programming Data required to operate and support programs and Data. 8. Testing and documentation of all programs, including the development of test data. 9. Conduct complex studies of existing Data and methods to determine ways to automate or service them via electronic data processing. Gather all essential information and related information, by interview and observation 10. Research and analyze the software requirements / workflows and Designs to define detailed test plans, cases, data and procedures. 11. Additional responsibilities, not listed above, may be assigned. Skills/Experience: 1. Automated Load testing Tools 2. Java hands-on programming experience, at least 2 years, but 3 years is preferred in J2EE Weblogic environment. 3. Experience in using Rational Functional Tester 4. Solid programming experience in any of the leading programming language such as Java, C/C++, VB, VB.Net 5. Excellent analytical ability, problem-solving skills. 6. Self-starter, pro-active, effective communicator, team player. Essential Experience: (MUST HAVES) 1. 4-5 years of solid Java development experience in a dynamic environment 2. Must have "Rational Functional Tester" expertise. 3. Have a good understanding of the software development life cycle 4. Have a good understanding of QA methodologies 5. Must have Experience with Automated Test Tools- Rational Functional Tester. 6. Must have used Automated Test Tool's beyond the Record and Playback capabilities. Desirable Technical Experience: 1. Understanding of Systems Architecture 2. Understanding of Insurance environment Solutions and Applications 3. Understanding of a True Production Environment 4.
