Sr. Developer (JAVA/J2EE)
About the position:
The Senior Developer will be responsible for Analysis, Design, Coding and
Unit Testing. Focus of work will center around the creation of new websites
and applications or enhancements to existing websites and applications.
Construction tasks are the focus of responsibilities which also include
documenting designs, code reviews and mentoring/leading and providing
oversight over the work of other project developers.
Responsibilities:
§ Lead and develop new websites/applications and enhance
functionality as needed
§ Develop application components and be involved in analysis,
design, development, and testing.
§ Promote technical recommendations clearly and in a manner that
ensures proper understanding by both business and technical staff.
§ Ensure team/self develop and/or follow strict corporate and
industry best practices development processes.
§ Document high level and detailed level designs.
§ Collaborate with other groups to identify upstream/downstream
changes in existing applications, services or infrastructure components
§ Create new and/or where appropriate follow existing design
patterns.
§ Host detailed code walkthroughs with internal and external
developers, testers, business team, and management.
§ Develop and execute unit testing plans for development
deliverables under supervision
Qualifications:
Must-Have Skills:
§ 8-10 year experience in design and development of J2EE server side
components using various J2EE technologies like Spring, Hibernate, and EJB
§ Working Knowledge of iBatis
§ Working knowledge of J2EE UI technologies like JSF, JSP, Servlets,
Struts
§ Experience using JMockit, JUnit, and DBUnit for unit testing
components
§ Experience writing PL/SQL and stored procedures
§ Knowledge of Oracle.
§ Highly skilled in development and deployment with WebLogic on
UNIX/Linux platforms
§ Experience using Clearcase and CVS
§ Working knowledge of WebServices
§ Excellent people management/mentoring and project management
skills
§ Excellent unit testing skills
Nice to Have Skills:
§ Knowledge of Autosys.
§ Knowledge of Sharepoint
