*Please response to *[email protected]* or call me on 732-981-0450 x 425* *Release Manager * *Job Type:* Full-Time (GC, TN, EAD, Citizens Only) *Location:* Dublin,OH *Job Description: Basic Functions *• Oversee release management of applications to ensure no adverse impact to production services and ensure the technical integrity of the applications • Ensure implementations are traceable, secure, and that only the correct, authorized and tested version are installed in production environment • Own the release calendar, produce detailed release plans, control release scope • Responsible for defining, owning and reporting on relevant KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) to ensure that the leadership teams and stakeholders can accurately assess the health and performance of the applications portfolio *Characteristic Duties and Responsibilities *• Manages the delivery of complex software products through the software development lifecycle. This specifically includes: o Managing and supporting software code management/software configuration management tools. o Documenting, managing, and automating software build procedures o Managing the software code lifecycle including the branching, merging, and migration of source code database elements. o Manages, automates, and maintains build process o Manages and maintains the source code database, including merges, branches, and engineering team support. o Documents builds and release procedures and results. • Tracking integration level concurrency to ensuring projects that impact other projects (internal and external) are tracked at an enterprise release level. o Coordinating and tracking future releases o Tracking each Release from the time it is created until completed for your area of responsibility. o Coordinate all changes to quality environments with all affected teams and engage with Software Management team to implement changes. o Working with project managers, technical leads and test leads to track status. Conduct project coordination meeting and report risk and status to management team. o Validating release notes are updated for all projects and summarized and communicated to the business. • Liaise with stakeholders to inform them of the introduction of new services and any preparation activities necessary o Coordinate with the Test, Development and Service Management teams during a release o Engage with projects in early phases to ensure alignment with the overall release calendar and corresponding freeze periods o Conduct internal management reporting on release schedules and plans o Build relationships with hosting providers, third party vendors and other partners • Coordinate with Project Managers & Program Managers to monitor and track project and release risks and issues • Collaborate with QA Manager and Application Development Directors in ensuring proper Release Plans, Test Plans, and Acceptance Criteria are set • Collaborate with Change Management to ensure effective and efficient handling of all changes using standardized methods and procedures • Collaborate with Incident Management and Problem Management teams in resolving issues and analyzing root cause • Drive consistent and measurable processes that will ensure the quality of the change is assured, and fallback options are clearly identified and delivered in the event they are required. • Be responsible and accountable for meeting the expectations of the business partners • Seeks, suggests and when appropriate, implements initiatives for improved processes, additional business benefits, reduced costs, etc. • Works across the IT organization to improve and enforce development, testing, release and documentation standards. • Ensure deliverables are completed within target timeframes and are consistently high-quality. • Prepares activity and progress reports for the section. • Implements solutions consistent with the overall IT plans and objectives. • Maintains relationships with vendors and professional organizations. *Qualifications *• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS or equivalent experience. • 8 or more years of demonstrated excellence in application development (SDLC) and/or technical operations environment *• Required: *- Minimum 5 years experience in a Release Management or Software Configuration Management capacity - Experience with a range of code/configuration management products. - Thorough understanding of platforms/applications involving .Net technology and Java/J2EE/JEE - Thorough understanding of ITIL processes, especially the Service Support discipline of ITIL *• Preferred: *- Experience managing multiple small to medium projects or major components of a large project. - 2-4 years experience leading project teams effectively, meeting deliverable dates, leading a work group(s) and direct customer contact. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate ideas to others at appropriate levels, in a clear concise manner. • Strong technical knowledge and experience with addressing testing challenges for web applications/sites, services and content management systems • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously. • Ability to interface effectively across all levels within Affinion Group as well as external clients and vendors. • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills. • Strong analytical ability. • Demonstrated problem management skills • Demonstrated ability to identify issues and proactively determine ways to resolve them. • Demonstrated ability to promote cooperation among peers, superiors and other teams toward achieving team and corporate goals. • Demonstrated ability to review others’ work on technical designs and development to ensure quality and consistency. -- Thanks & Regards, Shantanu Sharma Account Manager International Business Solutions Ph No- 732-981-0450 Ext-425 Fax No- 732-981-0465 E-Fax No- 732-909-2178 E-mail:- [email protected] Web :- www.ibs-consulting.net --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Oracle-USA" group.
