Position: Enterprise Network Infrastructure Architect (Locals Preferred) Location: Richmond, VA Duration: 6+ months
Enterprise Network Infrastructure Architect Skills: Enterprise Systems Design, Design and Build Networks, Novell, Windows, Routers Switches, Cabling, UNIX NEED SOMEONE EQUALLY STRONG ON UNIX AND WINDOWS ARCHITECTURE Description/Required Skills: - Responsible for the fundamental organization of a system embodied in its components, their relationships to each other and to the environment, and the principles guiding its design and evolution. - Requires a previous domain of experience in areas other than applications development. - Consults on overall enterprise systems design and the impact of various new technology initiatives. - May provide technical expertise and leadership for cross-functional teams concerning data/applications/hardware interactions. - Recommends tools, languages, and databases to be used. - Also includes designing and building networks based on Novell, Netware, Windows NT, Windows 2000, Windows XP plus support of network technologies (router, switch, cabling, network management, etc.). - Service Experience 5+ years. - Coordinating others work while involved with multiple work streams. - Served as *lead* designer on multiple projects. - Significant experience in industry across multiple technologies (3+ years). - Client Experience - Desired but not required. - Deep knowledge of diverse technologies and new and current architectures. - Lean/Agile development experience (3+ yrs) QA experience preferred. - Problem Solving skills. - Excellent - strategic application of experience. - Demonstrated experience leading and generating unique solutions within the financial services industry. - 3+ years architectural experience with COTS implementations. - Outstanding negotiation, facilitation, and consensus building skills. - Ability to effectively communicate across multiple levels (Executive Sponsors to team members). - Ability to communicate technical issues to non-technical individuals. - UNIX..........4 years. - MS Windows - Architecture............4 years.
