The role of the Senior Data Analyst is to analyze, synthesize, organize and
report on data to support the sourcing, transformation, storage, and
provision of external data for the purpose of managing credit losses.

This includes understanding data as it relates to default, foreclosure, and
other mortgage data concepts.

Responsibilities:

§ The role of the Data Analyst is to actively participate the ETL process
for various data in support of the Credit Initiative. This will consist of
1) manual or automated extraction of data from the source systems 2)
ensuring the timeliness and quality or data 3) manipulation and
transformation of data into potential future exposures by developing code
that applies to business unit specific business rules and 4) loading of data
into Oracle database and subsequent reconciliation and quality controls.

§ Responsible for creating source to target mappings.

§ Analyze incoming data submissions from multiple sources.

§ Work may involve the preparation and/or review of technical
specifications.

§ Support ad hoc data requests and ongoing requests for data from
workstreams and business partners.

§ Develop, test, and perform quality assurance on transformation logic
embedded in customized code. Document and explains the calculation to
business users, as appropriate. Consult Analytics team to ensure correct
understanding of business rules. Verify and validate that transformed data
reconciles back to the source system.

§ Acquire and develop knowledge of industry practices to develop new ways to
use existing data to add business value to existing processes.

Qualifications:

§ A bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance or related field,
or an equivalent combination of education and business experience. MBA/CPA a
plus.

§ Experience with and knowledge of data management.

§ A minimum of seven to ten years of progressively responsible experience in
accounting, finance, acquisitions, project management, business operations
and knowledge of secondary mortgage activities with a minimum of three years
of requirement analysis and management.

§ Successful candidate must have exceptional analytical and problem solving
abilities.

§ Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential to the
position. Excellent interpersonal skills and a demonstrated ability to work
effectively in a team environment are required.

§ Candidate must have an understanding of the systems development lifecycle,
including developing business requirements, designing test scripts, and
executing test plans.

§ Working knowledge and demonstrated use of Microsoft Access, Excel, and all
other Microsoft Software, such as, Visio, Project, etc.

§ At least 2-5 years of proven experience in working with data integration
and/or data quality § Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in
a high-pressure environment is crucial.





Nice to Have Skills:

§ Working knowledge of SAS is desirable

§ Knowledge of internal Fannie Mae data and systems is desirable §
Experience in data modeling and business process design preferred.
§ Credit risk management or other financial accounting background preferred.
