*D.  Technical Skills Needed    *
*Required Skills*:         *Microsoft SQL Server database
administration,*experience installing and upgrading SQL2000 to
SQL2005, database performance
tuning and troubleshooting, working with large numbers of database servers.

*Preferred Skills*:         Experience running SQL Server on VMWare and
using MS Access as a front end application are pluses.  Informix, Oracle, or
MySQL skills are  also a plus

Possesses good oral and written communication skills.  Can create partners
at all levels of the organization and able to prioritize and meet deadlines
without full supervision.  Successful candidate is a self-starter and

prioritize and meet deadlines without full supervision.


*F.  Project Description/Daily Assignment       *
*Detailed Description of Daily Assignment:  * Required to perform upgrade
work on multiple database environments across the enterprise.  This will
involve following a detailed plan and making sure that any pre-requisite
steps are performed, the upgrade is successfully implemented and
post-upgrade verification is complete.  For each application team, the
upgrade will happen on lower life cycles first, then once all verification
is complete the DBA will schedule and perform the upgrade in production.
Production upgrades and some high profile lower life cycles will need to
occur during night time scheduled maintenance windows.  In addition to the
upgrade work, there will also be some day to day support of existing
database systems and on-call duties.

*Detailed Description of needed deliverable:* To be successful, the
candidate will need to deliver upgraded systems on time and perform
supporting change documentation.

*Position 2*

*D.  Technical Skills Needed    *
*Required Skills*:         *SQL Server  and Oracle 10g **database
administration*, experience installing and upgrading, database performance
tuning and troubleshooting.  Experience with Oracle RAC is also a plus

*Preferred Skills*:         The Oracle system being built will use the Red
Hat Linux OS platform.  Experience managing Oracle on Red Hat will be
required for the position.

*Years of  experience*: 4+ years working as a database administrator (would
prefer at least 2 years experience on each database)

Possesses good oral and written communication skills.  Can create partners
at all levels of the organization and able to prioritize and meet deadlines
without full supervision.  Successful candidate is a self-starter and

*F.  Project Description/Daily Assignment       *
*Detailed Description of Daily Assignment:  * Candidate will be split
between 2 projects.  The primary one will be a SQL Server upgrade project.
In this project, candidate will be required to work with application teams
to upgrade their databases from SQL 2000 to SQL 2005.  It will involve
planning, working change management processes, following an upgrade plan,
and completing supporting documentation.  The other project will be
supporting other resources who will be building out a new Oracle database
system which will require installing, configuring, and tuning databases on
multiple test and production systems to meet company standards, vendor
requirements, and to support growth to multi terabytes of data.  Once built,
the duties will change to day to day support of the systems.

*Detailed Description of needed deliverable:* To be successful, the
candidate will need to deliver properly tuned upgraded and new systems and
appropriate documentation.

*Position 3*

*Required Skills*:         *Oracle 10g **database administration*,
experience installing and upgrading, database performance tuning and
troubleshooting.  Experience with Oracle RAC is also important.

platform that align with the other database platforms and produce
appropriate documentation.   They will install, configure, and tune
databases on multiple test and production systems to meet company standards,
vendor requirements, and to support growth to multi terabytes of data.  Once
built, the duties will change to day to day support of the systems.
Candidate will also be expected help other DBAs grow their Oracle skill set.

*Detailed Description of needed deliverable:* To be successful, the
candidate will need to deliver properly tuned new systems and appropriate
documentation.
