This role will document, advise, status and strategize both management and technical issues to ensure that specified goals are accomplished within prescribed time frames, and project objectives. The successful candidate will perform primary responsibilities personally or through matrixed supervisors, contractors, sub-contractors, consultants and other project personnel. Person should be responsible for the introduction or improvement of automated Software Configuration Management (SCM) processes and related business / IT processes (BPM) with tools like PVCS, Synergy / CM (Continuus) and STAT - Change Management tool. Defining, implementing and operating processes and methods for Change Management, Software Configuration Management, Parallel development, Document Management, Release & Build Management, Defect Management and Software Distribution. Aligning Configuration Management processes with the IT development methodology. *Daily Responsibilities:* · Release management process review and improvement · Monitoring, reporting and advisement on development and computing environment change control processes · Advise on configuration management practices and approaches for all development, test, training, and production environments and the underlying components · Recommending necessary project controls and management tools · Provide quality assurance practices · Advise on use of tools used during the development cycle to gain efficiencies or higher levels of quality for the team · Report on progress of development process · Participate in problem solving sessions · Coordinate with other best practice consultants to gain synergies *Qualifications:* · Bachelor's degree from an accredited university · 5+ years Experience in Configuration Management with CM Synergy tool. · 3+ years Experience in PVCS tool · 3+ years Experience in STAT. · Strong skills in technical project planning, execution strategy, issue escalation, and project communications · 1-2 years experience in a production support of PeopleSoft HCM · Experience planning production support and change control procedures for Peoplesoft · Demonstrates the ability to status multi-phased, large team, decentralized team activities · Demonstrates high-level of written and oral communication in the English language *Preferred:* · 1+ years experience with application servers · 1-3 years experience with Oracle databases and Linux · Working with PeopleSoft Technology would be PLUS. · Exhibits knowledge of SDLC Methodology (Rational, RUP or Other) · Demonstrates excellent problem diagnosis and analytical skills · Demonstrates poise, confidence and professional maturity to interface with senior-level executives in a clear and concise manner · Exhibits the ability and tenacity to resolve open issues · Efficiency in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, Project, Visio) · Fortune 500 or Telecom Experience · Experience managing in political environments and ability to interact with executives as well as individual contributors.
