This position requires a self-motivated individual with 5 plus years of Quality Assurance and/or Development experience and at least three years experience with testing Microsoft Applications (SharePoint, Microsoft Exchange). Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, working closely with Business Analysts and Developers to create test plans and test cases. The scope of the testing will include testing upgrades and major enhancements to Microsoft Outlook and SharePoint. The execution of test cases, the creation of department documentation, defect tracking and analysis, and assisting in the development of long-term data audit processes are key responsibilities. In addition, the analyst could be asked to assist in functional only type testing as needed. Excellent communication skills are required, as well as the ability to work as a member of a project team in a fast-paced environment. *Responsibilities:** * · Review project documentation for all assigned projects to ensure that the project requirements are clearly defined · Develop and execute test cases based on business requirements (manual and automated) · Report defects and escalate issues as needed** · Contribute to the project success in a team environment while simultaneously completing individual tasks and goals · Share knowledge by effectively documenting work · Communicate effectively to the team throughout the development lifecycle · Troubleshoot post-deployment issues · Mentor less experienced Analysts · Proactively assess MS Windows based system requirements to ensure they are specific, measurable, attainable, realistic, and testable · Write comprehensive system test strategies, plans and system test cases for windows-based functional testing · Perform functional testing for Share Point, Microsoft Exchange and media streaming applications. · Consult with hardware engineers, business analysts and other product support staff · Report defects using Test Director and escalate issues as needed · Coordinate QA efforts for production deployments · Assist with UAT coordination and testing · Validate new releases in the production environment *Qualifications:* · Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience · 3-5 years QA and/or Development experience* *with Microsoft Applications · Understanding of general business processes and operating metrics.
