Core Java Developer with previous* trading systems development experience*. The candidate must have Core Java skills including threads, collections, and TCP/IP as well as Tibco and FIX. Location: Chicago, IL Duration: 6-12 months Develop internal Java based applications for the ePRS/EPS System which consists of multiple projects defined by the business. Ongoing unit testing and deployment of code releases to the QA environment as required. Support the QA staff in resolving any issues that arise and coordination of code releases. Prepare appropriate technical documentation required for application development and support deployment to the various environments. On going production support of new and existing applications, as necessary. *Required Skills:* - Experience developing Core Java based applications. - Programming skills required include *Core Java/J2SE*. - Proficiency in *Unix/Linux environments and TCP/IP-based protocols* is a must. - Knowledge of *threads and collections, multi-threading, core API’s ( Spring)*, web frameworks, TDD (test driven development) or test oriented development, Junit, Jwebunit, selenium and mock framework are key qualifications. - Experience with *Tibco, FIX messaging* and *trading application development* is desired. - Knowledge of ‘source control’ (i.e. Clearcase). - Strong ability to learn existing applications quickly and to be able to make modifications to them. - Ability to work independently and be a team player. - Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and written. -- Regards Alrek Business Solutions, Inc.
