Provide DBA support for all Oracle EBS related project. Ensure regular operation and availability of databases and applications as implemented to support Zebra's business tools. Identify and resolve specific problems in the use and performance of systems. This position May also act as Technical Project Lead. Location : Chicago IL *Responsibilities*: 1. Implement, support and administer DBA activity supporting Oracle Siebel 8.x / EBS 12.x running on Linux & 11g RAC. 2. Manage and maintain Identity Management systems. 3. Develop, configure and maintain OAM with an excellent understanding of the full OAM suite, its capabilities and integration with other systems. 4. Develop custom workflows, self-service and administration of WebGates – including OHS, HTTPD and IIS. 5. Administer, configure and develop custom attributes and SSL, with a general understanding of LDAP. 6. Administer Oracle HTTP server/apache2.0 and Oracle Application Server on RedHat Enterprise Linux (RHEL). 7. Develop Linux/Unix shell scripting and Java based scripts. 8. Establishes physical database parameters to ensure optimal database and application performance. 9. Maintain Instance strategy for all enterprise business systems through their development cycle. 10. As a senior member of the team, mentor and provide technical and administrative guidance to the other DBA team members as needed. 11. Resolve day to day application operation issues and problems by self or software vendor support. 12. Works in accordance with the change control procedures and ensures compliance of change control and any other IS procedure or work instruction that ensures compliance to IS policy and ISO. Establish and recommend policies on system use and services. 13. Perform critical Patch management, Customization and Configuration management and administrations of all Oracle databases. 14. Performance monitoring and Capacity Planning develop recommendations and provide documentations for process improvements. 15. Provide emergency after hours support for mission critical apps as required. Perform upgrades / maintenance after hours as required. 16. Provides records and data on specific performance/availability concerns as basis for problem identification/resolution and management reporting. 17. Maintains user security and overall application and database data integrity, knowledge of SSL deployment and support in an Oracle Application environment. 18. Participates in technical team meetings and provide updates to the world wide team as needed. 19. Uses helpdesk software to manage support cases assigned. 20. Tracks all time in accordance with IS policy. 21. Provides regular status reporting (verbal and written). 22. Performs other duties as assigned. *Qualifications*: BS degree in Computer Science preferred. 5+ years hands-on experience and in depth knowledge of Oracle e-business suite and underlying modules administration on any Unix environment ( HP-UX, or Linux environment preferred), 5+ years of Oracle DBA experience and in-depth understanding of Oracle Databases. Oracle 10gAs, Oracle SOA suite and BPEL knowledge desirable. A solid understanding of an operating system; understands paging swapping, inter-process communications, device drivers, filesystem concepts and can use performance analysis to tune systems. Ability to program in an administrative language (Perl, Unix shell, etc) Ability to solve problems quickly and automate processes. Independent problem-solving, self-direction Provide off-hour support as needed. Must have the following skills: Oracle e-business suite applications Administration ( version 11i and above ) Oracle Database Administration ( version 9i, 10g and above ) Oracle Applications and Database Performance Tuning Backup and Recovery Capacity planning Supporting Oracle Apps and Databases in a RAC or HAT cluster environment with load balancers.
