Role: Business/Data Analyst Location: Herndoon, VA Duration: 6 + months Description: Position duties include detailed data analysis across many source systems and platforms, source to target mapping, writing detailed business requirements, writing detailed test plans, conducting integrated and UAT phases of testing and related documentation, upstream / downstream system & customer coordination, and the ability to organize and self-manage assigned duties. Ability to extract and analyze data using SQL / Toad / Access and Excel required. Familiarity with the data warehousing environment including Oracle databases in particular is highly desirable. This business analyst will be working with the HCD RDW / HCD ADW Loans enhancement manager and team members, on a variety of data analysis, mapping, and requirements documentation activities in support of the HCD ODS project. This is for a BA who will perform a variety of tasks. Candidates must be technical and also have strong business skills. They should have experience UAT testing and data analysis. Testing tools will vary - some will use Quality Center, QTP, etc. Experience with Toad, SQL, Access, Project and Excel are needed. Experience with Data Warehousing and Oracle are also needed. BUSINESS/DATA ANALYST NEEDED TO IDENTIFY CRITICAL DATA ELEMENTS IN THE CORPORATE MULTIFAMILY DATA WAREHOUSE. THE POSITION INVOLVES QUERYING DATA BASES, MAINTAINING A DATA MAPPING REPOSITORY, MEETING WITH USERS OF DATA, AND IDENTIFYING CRITICAL DATA NEEDS OF USERS. CANDIDATE SHOULD HAVE EXCELLENT COMMUNICATIONS SKILLS AND WILL WORK INDEPENDENTLY WITH MINIMAL SUPERVISION.
