Roles & Responsibilities

Ø  Work directly with BI program managers and/or with functional users to
identify, analyze reporting requirements, translate them into
DB/ETL/Reporting design specifications documents, with details on the
approach to address and resolve the business needs.

Ø  Provide BI Technical Leadership and guidance to the project development
teams

Ø  Own and Design the Data warehouse Architecture

Ø  Oversee and assist in building specifications for BO Universe, Data
Modeling, Reporting and Dashboard solutions

Ø  Review and Suggest changes to Data models

Ø  Accountable for end to end design on DB/ETL/Reporting requirements by
owning the design phase of the project

Ø  Work closely with the development teams during the development phase of
the project to ensure:

·         Proper standards and processes are followed

·         Design in fact meets the requirements CTQs

·         Proper unit/integrated test plans are written and tested

·         Migration checklist is prepared

Ø  Prepare and Own the logical and physical data model for the entire DW

Ø  Prepare and Own the developer naming standards for DB/ETL/Reporting
environments

Ø  Responsible for migration of code from Dev to QA for ETL and BOXI
environments

Ø  Provide expertise in design changes and strategy

·         ETL job tuning

·         Optimal database scalability

·         Project execution leveraging optimal architectural design

·         New process due to new tool and technology

·         Share and explain projects design with development and RTS teams

Ø  Work with RTS and Production Support teams in case of critical production
issues

Ø  Cater to additional reporting requirements and provide optimal report
solutions as well as data model changes as needed.

Ø  Manage resources from different vendors

Ø  Act as the single point of contact for the Customer in driving the entire
project

Ø  Work closely with the Program Manager in understanding Business User
requirements and define a technology solution.

Ø  Provide best usage of available technology stack utilizing best features.

Ø  Evaluate performance of development team members

Ø  Communicate project progress and issues with the stakeholders.
