Position:          SAS Programmer
Location:           Torrance,CA
Duration:          12 Months+Contract Opportunity
Rate:                 $45/hr

 ROLES
Designs and codes new reports,  programs and other software and
systemcomponents according to department and Company guidelines.  Tests all
codewritten or modified.  Partners with testing team for regression
andquality assurance testing.  Collaborates with the business and end
usersto ensure changes reflect are appropriate.  Assists other
programmingstaff in analysis and research of issues.  May implement
relationaldatabase design and modeling using the appropriate relational
databasesoftware.  May perform maintenance and backup functions
fordatabase.  Writes or revises system and operation documentation
forcomplex new and existing programs and systems in accordance with
businessstandards.



Required Skills (Must have), Necessary industry Experience& associated
number of years of experience:
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Requirements:
5 years experience in programming and/or software development; proficient
inprogramming languages
At least four years of SAS programming experience is required
Oracle SQL experience is required
Responsible for programming and analysis using efficient programming code
andanalytic methodologies.
Responsible for gathering and/or clarifying business and technical
requirements
Strong interpersonal, organizational, analytical, problem-solving,
projectmanagement and verbal and written communication skills
Formal Business Acceptance Testing (BAT) knowledge



Preferred:
Financial Services Industry experience a plus
Exposure to Data Integration Studio, Dataflux, and SAS/ODS
Hyperion tools knowledge a plus
