Position Title: Hyperion Essbase Developer
Location:       Chicago, IL
Duration:       6 Months


Job Description:

•       Reviews business requirements and develops technical design
documents for Business Intelligence OLAP.
•       Designs and develops applications including data conversion, batch
processing and interfaces using Hyperion Planning, Essbase v11 and
other Performance Management tools.
•       Provide technical leadership for OLAP services, standards and the
COE supporting Analysis Services.
•       ASO, BSO cubes and design considerations
•       EIS
•       Partitioning
•       Data loading and optimization techniques
•       Ensures system performance and capacity based on technical
requirements.
•       Maintains design, process and other documentation related to OLAP
services and projects.
•       Develops user and developer support processes.
•       Designs security measures to safeguard information against
accidental or unauthorized damage, modification or disclosure. .
•       May be required to work weekends or provide off-hour support.

Skills Required:

•       8+ years overall IT experience
•       4+ years designing, coding, tuning and developing Hyperion
applications Essbase v9 or v11 server installation
•       3+ years Advanced Excel experience

Skills Preferred:

•       2+ years with at least 2 of the following PERL, C Programming or
Unix Experience configuring Hyperion Planning Knowledge of a Formal
Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodology

•       Ability to work with all levels of Management Excellent verbal and
written communication Must be team oriented and able to work with
minimal supervision Must have strong analytical and problem solving
skills

Education Required:
BS Computer Science or Equivalent
